About the project
The Conflixis platform incorporates both a comprehensive web portal and a web application, designed to assist medical institutions and doctors in managing conflicts of interest. Institutions are able to create, distribute and track forms, whilst doctors can complete and submit them directly via the portal. The platform features integrated analytics, providing real-time insights into campaign performance and user activity. It also supports audience segmentation, targeted email communications, and employs AI-driven tools to analyse and match disclosure data efficiently.
Aims & Challenges
The key objective was to strengthen the existing web application and build a complementary portal tailored to the complex needs of medical institutions. A major challenge was ensuring secure, scalable data handling whilst meeting HIPAA and regulatory standards. We developed dynamic tools to generate and manage customisable forms across various institution types. The platform required advanced messaging features with segmentation capabilities for diverse user groups. Real-time analytics and integration were implemented to provide actionable insights and automatically flag anomalies in user submissions. We introduced AI-driven logic for intelligent form matching and built high-performance search and filtering tools. Consistent cross-device usability and a clear user experience were essential, especially for doctors new to the system. Ongoing support and regular enhancements were crucial to meet evolving client and compliance requirements.
Approach and Methodology
Under Conflixis's guidance, we worked on enhancing both the existing application and the new web portal. Our full-stack developer focused on core development and support tasks, whilst our DevOps engineer worked mostly on documentation and other processes. We followed flexible development methods, breaking the work into clear tasks with regular feedback. We maintained constant communication with the client to align development with their business needs. For the web portal, we created a flexible structure for gradual feature updates. We focused on security, ensuring user authentication and data protection. Updates and testing were streamlined using integration tools. New modules were tested with anonymised data for better results. Throughout the project, we provided documentation and ongoing support for smooth delivery and client satisfaction.

This feature integrates targeted outreach with audience segmentation and campaign tracking. Institutions can dispatch personalised requests for declarations of interest, monitor engagement metrics, and automate follow-ups to enhance compliance rates.
Analytics & Reporting Dashboard
Provides real-time visual insights into submission trends, user behaviour, and overall adherence levels. Integration with tools such as Power BI facilitates in-depth data analysis, assisting in identifying gaps and informing strategic decisions.
AI-Powered Data Review
Utilises machine learning to analyse submitted records, flag inconsistencies, and suggest corrections. This enhances the accuracy of reported information and streamlines the review process, ensuring readiness for audits.
