About the Project

The Invisio project centres on creating robust online portals that support medical personnel in organising and managing patient care. The system allows for the efficient scheduling of home visits, known as "flying nurses," and provides tools to enhance accessibility for patients requiring specialised procedures. Additionally, together we integrate features that support the training and certification of medical staff, reinforcing Invisio's commitment to quality care. The websites' flexible architecture ensures scalability, enabling Invisio to expand its offerings as user needs evolve.

Aims and Challenges

Invisio approached FlexMade, intending to optimise interaction with their target audience – medical professionals and patients – through unified platforms. Their existing WordPress-based system was becoming less aligned with their evolving needs, as it lacked certain essential features and scalability. The goal was to create a solution that enhanced user accessibility, made the website more user-friendly, and offered customised tools to support healthcare providers' specific workflows. Additionally, robust security measures were a priority to safeguard sensitive patient data and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Approach and Methodology

FlexMade adopted an agile approach, utilising short sprints and regular demonstrations to ensure alignment with Invisio's priorities. Rapid feedback cycles allowed us to refine components based on the client's evolving needs. Our team consisted of back-end and front-end developers, a DevOps engineer, QA specialists, and a project manager, all collaborating to deliver a high-quality solution. Automated deployments, enabled by GitHub Actions Runner, streamlined the development process, whilst the use of modern server infrastructure on Hetzner improved performance and reliability. Frequent communication and goal reassessments ensured the project stayed on track and met client expectations.

Scheduling Module

This module allows healthcare providers to efficiently organise and manage home visits and consultations by the "flying nurse" team. It ensures optimal resource allocation by offering tools for scheduling appointments based on availability, location, and patient needs. The system minimises overlap and errors, enabling a smooth workflow for medical personnel.

Patient Management System

The new platforms provide comprehensive tools for tracking patients' records, treatment plans, and appointment histories. Medical staff can access detailed profiles of each patient, which are securely stored and easy to retrieve. This functionality improves continuity of care, as nurses and doctors can easily monitor progress and update treatment plans in real time.

Communications Centre

The integrated communication module ensures secure and seamless messaging between patients and healthcare professionals. Patients can contact services for follow-ups, enquiries, or support, whilst healthcare providers can utilise the platforms to provide timely updates, consultations, or reminders, enhancing patient engagement and coordination.

Analytics Dashboard

This feature provides administrators and managers with detailed insights into system performance, patient outcomes, and resource utilisation. By analysing these reports, Invisio can identify bottlenecks, optimise workflows, and improve the quality of care provided. The dashboard also enables data-driven decision-making for future scalability and service improvements.

User Role Administration

Websites incorporate a role-based access control system, enabling administrators to manage permissions based on user roles. This ensures data security by granting each user access only to the information and tools necessary for their tasks. It supports the creation of bespoke roles tailored to specific needs within the organisation.

Billing and Invoicing

This module automates financial operations, providing accurate billing for services rendered and seamless integration with external payment systems. Patients and healthcare providers benefit from transparent, timely invoicing, reducing administrative workload and errors.

System Monitoring Tools

To ensure uninterrupted service, the platforms utilise advanced monitoring tools that track performance, uptime, and potential system issues. Alerts are triggered for any anomalies, allowing the technical team to respond quickly and maintain a reliable experience for users.
